What kind of snake was it, JoAnn? We've got lots of rat/black snakes around here...which is nice...they eat at least some of the rodents that live out in the country...lol. My chickens get some, too...
I'm not sure what kind it is. I told Kyle to throw it in the creek before we could identify the markings. We *think* it's just a common Texas Brown snake. If you click on the picture you can see a lump in its belly...a mouse, no doubt!
