Hairspray might help with removal. I'd spray on a cloth, then apply (of course.) That is what we used after our, ahem, delightful 6 year olds decided to "decorate" the work tables at our parish hall (a verrryyyy long time ago.) Worked like a charm because hairspray is acetone! Good luck!
