Table project - COMPLETE!

I took advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday and had the boys haul my school surplus table out to the backyard for its makeover.
It took two cans of Kilz to cover up years of U.G.L.Y.

But...

...now I have a beautiful new entry table for a grand cost of $12!

Oh, I like it, JoAnn! DH isn't a big fan of painted wood furniture, so I have to be careful what I do and where I put it. I find it annoying, cause I could do so much more if I could paint my finds...some of which I have to pass up because of his aversion...sigh.

But it is lovely...Is it matte or high gloss black?

It's a matte finish. The piece is old and worn and you can still see some of the distress despite the paint job, so that's why I went with matte. I just love it (although I need to find a different "tablescape" the one I threw together for the pic looks lame!)
