My poor plants are so confused!

Here's a shot of my itty-bitty Meyer Lemon tree
(only waist high).

It flourished the first year it was planted and gave me a whole TWO lemons!
The next year it froze but came right back again.
Last summer it suffered through the worst drought in Texas history.
Now it's blooming in February!

(shhh...don't tell it that it's not supposed to do this!
I *might* get lemons by this summer!)

I live in S. Calif and my Meyer Lemon flowers two times a year. It is not unusual to see new tiny lemons starting to grow and others yellowing up almost ready to pick. Or even ones past that point. Our tree is in the ground and 4'? tall. We get more lemons than we can eat and give away from this one tree. I know your family is larger but some years the tree almost looks more yellow with lemons than it does green!! :) My tree is blooming out now too. Sarah

Thanks Mary and Sarah!
@Sarah, thanks for the advice about the tree! I don't know anyone around here that has any practical advice about them so it's so encouraging to hear your experience! I sure hope we get some lemons this year! Fingers crossed!
