'Handmade Home' by Amanda Soule
It's such a lovely book! Full of sewing projects for the home using repurposed fabrics. Her writing style and photographs really speak to me.
I want to be her when I grow up!
Going to start on her Towel Rug and Beach Blanket to Go this weekend (maybe sooner if it's a slow day at work!) Who knows, some of you might find her projects in your Christmas stockings this year!
Sewing...it's my therapy, and I'm definitely needing a little therapy right now!

Girl!! You are NOT going to work today are you??
Looks like the two of you are having some good 'mom and dog' time, lol. Enjoy the "therapy". I've got two older quilting magazines (picked up at a yard sale this weekend along with 14+ yds of fabric for $10), as well as a newer one, sitting here beside the "momma bear chair", and my red wool shawl to get back to working on.
Give her ears a good scratching for me, and make sure to share some pictures with us, should you get a chance to work on any of those projects!
JoAnn--just found this Catholic hsing mom's blog and thought you ought to check it out. This page (not the current) seemed just up your alley...

How's the "therapy" going?
Oh yes I did go to work....it sucked! Starting on BP meds and having a busy day on the unit DO NOT mix well....I"m going to bed now.
Thanks for the blog post. I think I"ve seen it a couple of times. Will have to revisit.
I love this author's blog! I'd love to get my hand on that book too!
I just finished it yesterday... started right away on customized journals... and looking forward to the towel rug also!
(Have you read her first one? I gleaned good ideas from that too...)
